Telestream and ScorePlay have announced a partnership to integrate Telestream's Vantage live capture and ingest platform with ScorePlay's media management system. The workflow utilizes AI-powered metadata to automate the clipping and distribution of live sports highlights for broadcast and social media channels.
This integration addresses the shrinking window for sports highlight monetization, where speed to social platforms determines audience engagement levels. By bridging the gap between high-resolution broadcast ingest and agile digital distribution, the partnership allows organizations to bypass manual metadata entry that often delays content delivery. Within the broader ecosystem, this move reflects a shift toward unified production stacks that serve both traditional linear feeds and fragmented digital endpoints simultaneously. Watch for how this affects the adoption of AI-driven tagging tools among mid-tier sports leagues looking to scale their digital presence without increasing headcount.
ScorePlay has built significant momentum in the sports media management space since its founding in 2021 by Victorien Tixier and Xavier Green. The company raised $13 million in Series A funding in February 2025, backed by athletes including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alex Morgan, and Kevin Durant's 35V, bringing total funding to $20 million. ScorePlay reports threefold year-over-year growth and profitability, with more than 200 sports organizations using its platform, including NBA and NHL franchises, Major League Soccer, and the National Women's Soccer League.
The Telestream ScorePlay partnership fits into a broader pattern of ScorePlay expanding its footprint across major leagues. In April 2025, Major League Soccer announced a collaboration with ScorePlay to implement its media asset management platform across all thirty MLS clubs, enabling automated content tagging and real-time access to match content from MLS, Leagues Cup, and the MLS All-Star Game. The platform identifies and tags athletes and commercial partners automatically, streamlining distribution for marketing and sponsorship activations across the league's ecosystem.
ScorePlay's adoption among NBA teams illustrates the demand for unified ingest-to-distribution workflows that the Telestream integration addresses. ScorePlay is currently working with seven NBA teams, with the Brooklyn Nets using the platform to give 600 stakeholders access to centralized video assets, supporting everything from TikTok content to sponsorship activations. The Nets have accumulated more likes on TikTok than the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors combined, demonstrating how AI-powered media management translates into measurable audience growth. As regional sports network instability pushes more franchises to bring media production in-house, tools that bridge broadcast-grade ingest with digital distribution become increasingly critical for teams managing content across dozens of platforms simultaneously.
