QuickLink debuts StudioPro AnywhereTally for cloud-integrated live production environments

The transition to distributed, cloud-based production has long been hindered by the technical complexity of remote tally systems, which traditionally rely on local GPIO or high-latency internet signals. By achieving 20ms latency and native cloud integration, QuickLink addresses the coordination gap for remote talent and operators in hybrid environments. This move pressures legacy hardware providers to modernize their signaling protocols for decentralization. As Tier-1 broadcasters increasingly decentralize control rooms, the industry will watch if these specific cloud-native peripherals become standard requirements for remote contribution contracts in 2027.

The launch of StudioPro AnywhereTally follows a period of rapid ecosystem expansion for QuickLink. At NAB 2026, the company introduced the StudioPro Town Hall solution, which built upon hardware additions like the StudioPro Proton and Fusion control panels launched in mid-2025. These surfaces, designed for high-density tactile control, initially featured wired tally interfaces via DB25. The inclusion of wireless cloud-controllable lights represents a shift toward the fully decentralized workflows that QuickLink has championed since the phase-out of legacy platforms like Skype TX in 2025 (per SVCOnline, August 2025).

In early 2026, QuickLink established a significant U.S. distribution partnership with Midwich, aiming to scale its low-latency production tools across North American corporate and broadcast sectors. This growth occurs as competitors like Hollyland have also pushed wireless tally technology forward, though often focused on local Line of Sight (LOS) ranges of approximately 2,600 feet (per NewsShooter, March 2024). QuickLink's stated 7,200-foot range and internet-enabled remote control position its new hardware specifically for larger-scale campus and inter-city production environments.

Broadcasters are increasingly seeking to phase out fragmented remote contribution tools in favor of unified ecosystems that handle metadata, audio, and tally signaling within a single software frame. Per TV Technology (July 2026), France 24 recently modernized its infrastructure using QuickLink's StudioEdge to manage multilingual remote guest influxes. The addition of AnywhereTally suggests QuickLink is focusing on the 'last mile' of local production equipment—the physical signaling on top of the camera—to match its maturing cloud-switching backend.
