FAST Channels TV creator services target influencers for Roku and Samsung

The expansion of FAST Channels TV creator services signals a shift where independent influencers are treated as professional media brands rather than just social personalities. By moving content to platforms like Roku and Samsung TV Plus, creators can bypass unpredictable social algorithms and access the higher-value ad inventory associated with connected TV. This migration increases the volume of niche, low-cost content available to FAST aggregators, potentially diluting the dominance of traditional studio libraries. Watch for whether high-profile creators can maintain their engagement levels when transitioning from interactive social feeds to the lean-back environment of linear streaming.

The FAST channel market has grown into a crowded ecosystem where aggregators compete for distribution slots on major connected TV platforms. Roku reported in its Q2 2026 earnings that The Roku Channel reached over 150 million monthly active viewers, making it one of the largest free ad-supported streaming destinations in North America. Samsung TV Plus has similarly expanded its channel lineup, with Samsung announcing in July 2026 that the service now carries more than 3,500 channels across 30 countries, up from roughly 2,000 a year earlier. This proliferation of available slots creates demand for content suppliers, which is precisely the gap that white-label platforms like FAST Channels TV aim to fill by onboarding non-traditional content owners such as social media creators.

On the business side, the economics of FAST channel distribution are attracting new entrants beyond established studios. Pluto TV, owned by Paramount Global, disclosed in June 2026 that it had surpassed 400 million monthly active users globally, demonstrating the scale that free ad-supported models can achieve. Meanwhile, Tubi reported that its ad-supported library exceeded 200,000 titles by mid-2026, illustrating how volume-driven strategies dominate the space. For creators entering through services like FAST Channels TV, the revenue model depends on CPM rates that typically range from $5 to $15 on connected TV inventory, significantly higher than the $1 to $3 CPMs common on social platforms, though fill rates for niche channels remain a challenge.

Technical infrastructure for FAST channel operations has also matured, lowering barriers for smaller content owners. Law&Crime completes Court TV Amagi migration to unify broadcast and FAST, illustrating how cloud-based channel origination platforms now power thousands of channels for content owners, providing end-to-end playout, ad insertion, and distribution without requiring broadcast-grade facilities. Similarly, Don Lemon launches FAST channel in partnership with Swerve TV, illustrating how individual creators are increasingly leveraging these infrastructure providers to reach broader audiences, suggesting that the pipeline is becoming a recognized market segment rather than a novelty.
