U.S. Soccer announced the schedule for the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Semifinals, set for Wednesday, September 16. Both matches of the doubleheader will air on CBS Sports Network and stream live on Paramount+.
The immediate impact is straightforward: U.S. Soccer has locked in a same-day, two-match broadcast package for the 2026 Open Cup semifinals, giving CBS Sports Network and Paramount+ live rights to both games on Sept. 16. That keeps the tournament’s late-stage inventory in a national, dual-platform window rather than a single-channel presentation. For the streaming ecosystem, the notable detail is the split between linear TV and Paramount+ and the additional studio programming across both services. Next to watch: whether CBS Sports announces the promised studio details before the 7 p.m. ET kickoff.
