The Astana AI Film Festival is now open for submissions, offering a prize fund of $1 million. This event focuses on films created using Artificial Intelligence technologies.
The immediate signal is that AI-generated or AI-assisted filmmaking now has a dedicated festival platform with $1 million attached to it. That gives creators a concrete venue for work made with artificial intelligence technologies, rather than treating it as a side category. For the broader streaming and video ecosystem, the submission call adds another public marker of how quickly AI is becoming part of video production and exhibition. The key signal to watch next is the festival’s submission volume, since the article only confirms that entries are open and that the prize fund totals $1 million.
