Palki Sharma has revealed her reasons for establishing India Global Review following her departure from Firstpost. She stated that the platform was founded to address what she perceived as a gap in global news coverage originating from India. The new venture aims to offer a distinct Indian perspective on international affairs, leveraging digital platforms for distribution.
Sharma’s launch gives her a new outlet built around an explicitly Indian take on international news, rather than a general-purpose newsroom. For the streaming and digital video ecosystem, that points to another creator-led news brand using online distribution to reach audiences directly. The key signal to watch is how India Global Review positions its international affairs coverage across digital platforms after this launch.
