Google Cloud's developer documentation details that the system operates over bidirectional WebSockets with sub-second latency, processing 16 kHz PCM audio input and producing 24 kHz audio output alongside the avatar video. The model supports dynamic mid-stream language switching across 97 languages, a capability Google demonstrated in a video showing the avatar transitioning between English and Japanese with consistent lip-sync fidelity.
