Wireflow has launched a browser-based canvas that allows users to chain 12 AI video models into repeatable workflows. These pipelines can be deployed as REST endpoints and MCP tools for integration into production infrastructure.
This launch addresses the fragmentation of the generative video market by consolidating disparate models like Sora 2 and Kling 3 Pro into a single operational layer. By converting visual canvases into REST endpoints and MCP tools, Wireflow moves AI video from manual prompting in isolated tabs to repeatable, programmatic production workflows. This shift allows streaming engineering teams to integrate high-end generative assets directly into CMS or social distribution pipelines without managing individual model APIs or local GPU clusters. As the industry moves toward automated content versioning, watch for whether this unified API approach forces single-model providers to open their own ecosystems or risk being relegated to backend nodes.
Wireflow's launch arrives amid a broader wave of platforms attempting to unify fragmented AI video generation behind a single orchestration layer. In June 2025, Replicate introduced a multi-model routing feature that lets developers chain image and video models through a unified API, though it stopped short of offering a visual canvas for pipeline design (replicate.com, June 2025). Similarly, Fal.ai expanded its video generation endpoints in early 2025 to include Kling and Veo models alongside its existing image pipeline, positioning itself as a developer-first inference layer rather than a visual workflow builder (fal.ai, March 2025). Wireflow differentiates by combining a drag-and-drop node canvas with automatic REST and MCP endpoint generation, targeting teams that want both visual iteration and programmatic access without maintaining separate integration code.
The MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration is notable given the protocol's rapid adoption in 2025. Anthropic open-sourced MCP in November 2024, and by mid-2025 it had become a de facto standard for connecting AI agents to external tools (anthropic.com, November 2024). Wireflow's decision to expose every published workflow as an MCP tool means autonomous agents can discover, invoke, and chain video generation pipelines without human intervention — a capability that aligns with the broader industry push toward agentic content production. OpenAI's Sora 2, one of the 12 models available on Wireflow's canvas, launched in April 2025 with native audio generation, making it a natural candidate for multi-step pipelines that combine video, voice, and lip-sync in a single pass (openai.com, April 2025).
On the competitive front, Runway — notably absent from Wireflow's model catalog — has pursued a vertically integrated strategy, keeping its Gen-4 model exclusive to its own platform and API. Runway raised $308 million in a Series D round in January 2025 at a $4 billion valuation, signaling investor confidence in single-model depth over multi-model breadth (techcrunch.com, January 2025). The absence of Runway from Wireflow's lineup underscores a strategic tension: model providers must decide whether to remain walled gardens or become interchangeable nodes in third-party orchestration layers. Google's Veo 3.1, available on Wireflow, represents the counter-position — Google has made its video models accessible through multiple third-party platforms, including Vertex AI and now Wireflow, prioritizing distribution reach over exclusivity (, 2025).

Add as preferred sourcePricing models across the space are converging on per-generation billing rather than seat-based subscriptions, reflecting the variable compute costs of video inference. Wireflow's free-tier canvas with pay-per-clip credits mirrors the approach taken by platforms like multi-model workspace providers, though Wireflow's $24/month entry plan for steady-volume users undercuts most competitors' minimum commitments (wireflow.ai, August 2026).
