Vivid Broadcast has launched Barra OB, a new 20-camera fully remote HDR outside broadcasting truck. Designed for both 50p SDR and HDR workflows, it includes high-end equipment such as the Ross Ultrix FR5 SDI router and Calrec Argo-M 48-fader mixer, and is currently being used for Women’s Super League (WSL) matches, connecting to Sky’s galleries or Vivid's Remote Production Centre.
Barra OB adds a purpose-built remote-production truck to Vivid’s live sports kit, with support for both SDR and HDR workflows and a 20-camera configuration. The immediate value is operational: it can work from shore power, run more than eight hours, and feed either Sky’s galleries or Vivid’s own Remote Production Centre. That gives Vivid a flexible production path for WSL matches and other clients that need on-site and remote crews tied together. What to watch next is how often Vivid uses the Intinor/SRT links versus direct Sky gallery connections.
