Broadcast Solutions delivered eight hybrid SDI/IP, UHD-capable outside broadcast (OB) units to Turkey's national broadcaster TRT, marking the company's largest contract to date. This fleet refresh prepares TRT for major upcoming events and supports its transition to IP connectivity across its technical operations. The project involved two large trailer units and six mid-size trucks, designed for significant camera counts and dual 12G-SDI/IP operation.
Broadcasters like TRT continue to invest heavily in UHD and hybrid IP infrastructure to meet rising production demands and future-proof their operations. The dual SDI/IP capability in these new OB vans allows for immediate interoperability with existing 12G-SDI workflows while providing a pathway to full IP migration. This substantial investment signals TRT's commitment to delivering higher-quality content for critical events and sets a benchmark for production capabilities in the region. Track how quickly TRT transitions its broader technical operations to the IP backbone enabled by these new hybrid assets.
