MultiDyne CEO targets 94% fiber reduction for high-density REMI production

The shift toward REMI workflows has made efficient data transport more critical than physical truck logistics. MultiDyne’s capability to consolidate multiple 10GbE networks onto single fiber strands addresses the primary bottleneck in stadium connectivity: limited or expensive fiber runs. MultiDyne introduced the FiberSaver-10G at NAB Show 2026, where the company demonstrated the wavelength-shifting multiplexer alongside the VF-9100 fiber optic transport platform at Booth C4425. The FiberSaver-10G delivers up to an 18-to-1 reduction in required fiber strands by optically isolating and multiplexing multiple independent 10G networks onto a single fiber, targeting mobile production trucks, stadiums, corporate campuses, and large venues where fiber resources are limited or costly to expand. The platform supports flexible configurations mixing 1G, 10G, and 25G connectivity within the same system, with an external redundant power option for mission-critical environments.

MultiDyne positioned both new products as complementary tools within the same production environment. The VF-9100 builds on the widely deployed VF-9000 platform with RESTful API support for integration with modern network management and control systems, while the FiberSaver-10G focuses on aggregating existing optical signals and IP networks onto minimal fiber infrastructure. The VF-9100 supports transport of up to 18 signals over a single fiber, or 36 in dual configurations, maintaining flexibility across SDI and IP workflows.

MultiDyne's emphasis on fiber efficiency reflects a broader operational challenge that intensified through 2025. SVG Europe reported that fiber scarcity in major venues became a significant issue as productions added more camera positions and required more bandwidth at each location, forcing teams to rethink how they used existing fiber. Multi-signal transport over a single optical pair became increasingly important, particularly for immersive rigs that add further pressure on limited fiber runs. MultiDyne's FiberSaver-10G directly addresses this constraint by enabling ST 2110, Dante AV, and NDI workflows to share a single strand.
