Tubi has made over 600 episodes of 'Classic Doctor Who' from before the 2005 revival available for free streaming in the U.S. and Canada. The content includes 'Classic Doctor Who' and 'Classic Doctor Who: The Lost Animated Stories,' accessible on-demand and via a dedicated FAST Channel. The first serial, "An Unearthly Child," is not included due to rights disputes.
This gives Tubi a sizable franchise library addition with both on-demand and FAST distribution, all from the same catalog drop. It also extends BBC Studios’ Classic Doctor Who deeper into ad-supported streaming, while leaving a rights gap at the franchise’s starting point. For Tubi, the move fits its larger pitch around a 200,000-plus title library and nearly 250 FAST channels. What to watch: whether the Classic Doctor Who collection remains split between on-demand and the dedicated FAST Channel, and whether the missing An Unearthly Child serial ever gets added.
