LucidLink pushes cloud-native file streaming as VPN and NAS replacement for media teams

For media teams still dependent on VPNs, NAS boxes, and physical drive shipping, LucidLink's pitch is straightforward: stop managing infrastructure and start streaming files on demand from cloud object storage you already pay for. The platform's integration with AWS Deadline Cloud, announced at IBC 2025, and its March 2026 launch of LucidLink Connect — which extends streaming to existing S3 buckets without migration — signal a push to become the default file-access layer across the entire media production pipeline, from ingest through rendering. In March 2026, LucidLink launched Connect, a product that extends its streaming technology to existing data stores — S3 buckets, cloud drives — without requiring migration or data duplication.
