ITV has commissioned "Believe Me," a four-part true crime drama focusing on the victims of John Worboys, written by Jeff Pope MBE and produced by Etta Pictures. The series will air on ITV1 and STV and be available for streaming on ITVX and STV Player. It details the Metropolitan Police's failure to investigate initial allegations and the victims' subsequent legal fight.
This is another ITV scripted commission built around a recognizable true-crime case, with distribution across broadcast and streaming in the UK. The project also keeps ITV Studios in the production and distribution path through Etta Pictures and ITV Studios, while ITVX and STV Player get the streaming window. The key signal to watch is whether ITV gives a broadcast date, since the release only says filming will take place in Cardiff and that the drama will air on ITV1 and STV.
