The 2026 ITU Regional Development Forum for Africa has concluded in Victoria Falls after two days of high-level dialogue. The forum, hosted by the ITU, focused on regional development, though specific outcomes or decisions were not detailed in this report.
The immediate takeaway is that the ITU’s Africa-focused development forum has finished, but this report does not provide any concrete policy changes or implementation steps. For the broader streaming and telecom ecosystem, the only clear signal is that regional development remains on the ITU agenda for Africa, underscored by a two-day high-level dialogue in Victoria Falls. What to watch next is whether the ITU publishes forum proceedings, recommendations, or follow-up actions from RDF-AFR 2026.
