iKO Media Group has launched iKOAnalytics, a new monitoring and audience intelligence tool integrated into its iKOSystem 2.0 platform. The service provides satellite broadcasters with data on minutes watched, device information, and geographic insights for connected television environments.
This launch provides satellite broadcasters with the granular audience metrics typically reserved for pure OTT services, allowing for more precise measurement of linear reach in connected home environments. By unifying distribution monitoring with consumption data, iKO Media Group enables channel owners to justify satellite spend through concrete engagement figures rather than broad estimates. This shift reflects a broader industry move toward hybrid distribution models where satellite remains a primary delivery vehicle but requires digital-level transparency to compete for advertising and carriage. Watch for how this data influences programming decisions and distribution renewals as iKO showcases the platform at IBC 2026.
iKO Media Group's iKOAnalytics launch arrives amid a broader push to bring digital-grade measurement to satellite and hybrid distribution models. The company's iKOSystem 2.0 platform, which serves as the foundation for the new analytics layer, targets operators managing linear satellite channels delivered through connected TV environments. iKO Media Group CEO Adir Hadad has positioned the platform as a bridge between traditional satellite delivery and the data expectations of modern advertising buyers, a segment where audience measurement has historically relied on panel-based estimates rather than census-level device data. The launch is expected to be showcased at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, where satellite operators and channel groups are actively seeking tools to demonstrate return on investment for linear distribution alongside streaming portfolios. The competitive landscape for satellite audience intelligence includes established measurement firms adapting their methodologies to hybrid delivery. Nielsen's National TV panel in the United States has incorporated addressable and connected TV viewing data since its Big Data + Panel methodology overhaul, but satellite-specific granularity remains limited in most markets. Nielsen reported in early 2026 that its measurement system now processes over 30 billion daily viewing events across linear and streaming platforms, yet satellite-delivered channels in many regions still lack the device-level attribution that OTT platforms provide natively. iKOAnalytics addresses this gap by capturing minutes watched, device identifiers, and geographic data directly from the satellite-to-CTV delivery chain, giving broadcasters a proprietary data layer independent of third-party panel constraints. Technical differentiation for iKOAnalytics centers on its integration within the iKOSystem 2.0 middleware stack, which handles conditional access, content protection, and subscriber management for satellite operators. By embedding analytics at the platform level rather than bolting on a separate measurement SDK, iKO Media Group can correlate viewing behavior with subscription events, channel changes, and device types in a unified data model. The broader satellite broadcasting market is projected to reach $38.7 billion by 2030 according to Grand View Research, driven by demand for hybrid satellite-IP delivery in emerging markets where terrestrial broadband coverage remains uneven. For operators in those regions, iKOAnalytics offers a path to demonstrate audience engagement to advertisers who otherwise default to programmatic advertising platforms with built-in attribution, potentially slowing the migration of ad budgets away from satellite-delivered linear content.
iKO Media Group has launched iKOAnalytics, a new tool integrated into its iKOSystem 2.0 platform designed to provide satellite broadcasters with granular audience intelligence. By tracking minutes watched and geographic data across connected TV environments, the platform bridges the gap between traditional satellite delivery and modern digital-grade audience measurement.
iKOAnalytics is a new tool from iKO Media Group that provides satellite broadcasters with audience intelligence, including minutes watched, device types, and geographic data, by tracking viewing across connected television environments.
The tool is integrated directly into the iKOSystem 2.0 platform, allowing it to unify operational management, subscriber data, and audience analytics within a single middleware stack.
It allows satellite broadcasters to access granular audience metrics typically reserved for OTT services, helping them justify satellite distribution spend and compete for advertising budgets with concrete engagement figures.
iKO Media Group plans to showcase the iKOAnalytics platform at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
