Grass Valley extended its collaboration with ImSoPROD (FDJ United’s TV production unit) to modernize the French national lottery’s production facilities, deploying LDX C98 compact cameras for native UHD acquisition with HDR and wide color gamut in a constrained 80 m² set. The upgrade, completed in under two months and on-air since last September, supports up to 14 cameras and flexible routing across three production galleries and four studio sets, while expanding virtual production capabilities with an 80 m² XR wall synchronized to Pixotope XR. ImSoPROD is also updating workflows, including replacing OPC400 control workflows with Grass Valley’s Creative Grading platform.

Add as preferred sourceThis is the “dense studio” playbook showing up everywhere: more cameras, more formats, less space—and faster turnarounds. Native UHD/HDR in a compact form factor (and without extra control-unit complexity) lowers the barrier to upgrading legacy shows while keeping image consistency across mixed camera fleets. The bigger signal for streaming-adjacent teams: facilities are being designed as reconfigurable content factories—multi-gallery routing, XR stages, and software grading—so the same square meters can serve broadcast, branded content, and virtual production with minimal friction. The meme: flexibility is the new premium feature.
