Digital Audio Denmark (DAD) is launching a new 128-channel ST 2110-30 expansion card for its Thunder|Core, Penta, and AX32 audio interfaces. The card adds AES67 and RAVENNA connectivity to support IP-based broadcast and live audio workflows.
The introduction of the ST 2110-30 expansion card allows high-end audio interfaces to remain relevant as broadcast facilities migrate from SDI to IP-based infrastructure. By integrating AES67 and RAVENNA, Digital Audio Denmark ensures its Thunder|Core and Penta series can handle the complex routing and monitoring requirements of modern live streaming and television production. This move reflects a broader industry shift toward interoperable standards that reduce cabling complexity while increasing channel density. Watch for how quickly existing AX32 and Penta users adopt these cards to replace traditional MADI or AES3 connections in their signal chains.
This expansion follows a trend of IP-based live production adoption across the broadcast sector, as facilities increasingly prioritize flexible, software-defined workflows over legacy hardware.
Digital Audio Denmark has released a new 128-channel ST 2110-30 expansion card for its Thunder|Core, Penta, and AX32 audio interfaces. This hardware enables AES67 and RAVENNA connectivity, allowing professional broadcast and live production facilities to integrate these devices into modern IP-based infrastructures, effectively replacing traditional MADI or AES3 connections with higher channel density.
The new expansion card supports 128 channels of audio over IP (AoIP) and provides AES67 and RAVENNA connectivity for broadcast installations.
The expansion card is compatible with Digital Audio Denmark's Thunder|Core, Penta, and AX32 audio interface series.
The internal routing matrix capacity reaches up to 2,048 x 2,048 non-blocking connections.
It allows high-end audio interfaces to integrate into IP-based infrastructure as facilities migrate from SDI, reducing cabling complexity while supporting complex routing and monitoring requirements.
