The role improves yield, quality, and throughput in high-volume chip manufacturing by applying design of experiments and statistical process control, and by responding to process excursions. It requires an engineering or science degree, with preferred hands-on experience in in-line metrology such as ellipsometry and X-ray measurement. The engineer works across teams and documents process changes.
