About the role

The intern will study how machine learning models can simplify and speed up coding decisions in video encoders, such as block partitioning and intra/inter mode selection. The work covers a literature review, prototype design, and evaluation of complexity, BD-rate, memory, and hardware cost. The role calls for C/C++, Python, machine learning, and interest in video codecs.
