Zixi provides a Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP) for delivering broadcast-quality live video over any IP network, cloud, or edge device. It is differentiated by its ability to achieve 99.999%+ reliability at scale, supporting 18+ protocols and managing over 20,000 channels daily. The company was acquired by Clearhaven Partners in 2024, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for major broadcasters and OTT platforms.
Zixi and Kiloview have partnered to integrate the Zixi protocol into the Kiloview D350 IP video decoder via a firmware update. This integration enables broadcasters to utilize Zixi's error correction and hitless failover for reliable live production and contribution over unmanaged networks.
Zixi asserts that the C-band transition necessitates a re-evaluation of control and accountability in live video, as inherent IP limitations require software-defined solutions. The company stresses that broadcast-grade reliability and governance, previously implicit with satellite, must now be actively orchestrated through software over IP networks. This architectural shift separates control from connectivity, enabling adaptability and consistent operation across diverse environments.
