VAST Data is building the AI Operating System, a global data platform that unifies storage, database, and containerized compute into a single scalable software stack. Its breakthrough DASE architecture is the world's first true parallel distributed system, eliminating tradeoffs between performance, scale, simplicity, and resilience. The company has raised $1.5 billion in total funding, including a $30 billion valuation Series F in 2026, and serves enterprises deploying AI and deep learning workloads at scale.
VAST Data has released AI OS 5.5, which integrates a Native Query Engine capable of performing real-time statistical and analytical operations directly on stored data. This update aims to enable AI-assisted investigations and operational analytics by eliminating the need for separate data processing engines.
