The Ultra HD Forum is an open industry body that accelerates Ultra HD adoption by establishing best practices and guidelines for the future of television. The Forum differentiates itself through its collaborative approach, bringing together broadcasters, service providers, and technology vendors to drive consensus on technical standards and interoperability. Notable innovations include the integration of AI and IP workflows into live production, and support for the latest codec VVC (H.266), demonstrated at IBC 2025. As a crucible for interoperability testing, the Forum ensures that diverse Ultra HD content is commonly available across all distribution methods.
