Delta Digital Video designs and manufactures military-grade video compression and scan conversion products, specializing in ultra-low-latency H.264/H.265 and JPEG-XS encoding for mission-critical applications. Its 5480 Series encoder and decoder deliver 40ms glass-to-glass latency with 4K support, making them ideal for flight test, space launch, and ISR missions. The company's solutions are built in the USA and certified to ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 standards, supporting applications from battlefield surveillance to distance learning. Delta's focus on interoperability and real-time transport of full motion video differentiates it in the defense and aerospace video compression market.
High-performance, single-channel video distribution units designed for reliable signal management in mission-critical environments.
Scalable systems offering simultaneous video encoding and distribution across multiple channels for complex ISR and surveillance applications.
Delta Digital Video (DDV) showcases how its 5480E encoder, 5480D decoder, and 9600 Series multi-channel distribution systems are deployed for the FIFA World Cup. These products enable low-latency, high-quality video for broadcast, stadium displays, and security, emphasizing codec flexibility with H.264, H.265, and JPEG-XS. The article details how DDV's hardware addresses the video infrastructure challenges of large-scale events.
Delta Digital Video has released a whitepaper titled "JPEG-XS for Tactical ISR" that compares the ultra-low-latency codec to H.264 and H.265 for tactical ISR workflows. The whitepaper helps streaming professionals understand the optimal application of codecs in systems where low latency, deterministic behavior, and image quality are critical. It also highlights how DDV's products like the 5480E, VEC500, and 9600/9610 support JPEG-XS.
Advanced converters that seamlessly translate video signals between formats to ensure compatibility across diverse display and recording systems.
Delta Digital Video (DDV) has published a whitepaper detailing the application of JPEG-XS codec technology for tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, highlighting its benefits for low-latency, deterministic video delivery over H.264/H.265. The paper positions JPEG-XS as crucial for mission threads requiring forensic fidelity and machine vision performance, while DDV's Model 5480E encoder and VEC500 OEM module support both JPEG-XS and legacy codecs to bridge current and future military IP video standards. It also specifies how codec selection should be an architectural decision based on mission requirements rather than a procurement decision per platform.
Delta Digital Video introduced its Model VEC500 UHD/HD/SD Video Encoder OEM Module, designed to enable camera and sensor manufacturers to integrate video streaming into their devices. This module supports H.264/H.265 or JPEG-XS compression for transmission over IP networks and is compliant with standard video players and decoding hardware. It is built for harsh environments and includes SRT/RIST support and AES encryption for applications like military, law enforcement, and traffic monitoring.
