The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to driving the adoption of open, standards-based IP infrastructure for the broadcast and media industry. AIMS differentiates itself by bringing together broadcasters, technology vendors, and standards bodies to eliminate fragmentation and maximize interoperability through a comprehensive set of IP media networking standards. The organization recently achieved a major milestone with the certification of the first 48 products to the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard, demonstrating its leadership in providing a practical upgrade path from legacy SDI to IP and future cloud-based production. By fostering a collaborative roadmap validated by industry stakeholders, AIMS enables broadcasters and AV professionals to adopt best-of-breed IP solutions without proprietary lock-in.
