Broadpeak has introduced Click2Cart, an interactive advertising solution that enables viewers to add products to shopping carts directly from CTV advertisements using their remote. The technology integrates with existing streaming workflows and third-party retail platforms to provide performance metrics and conversion tracking for broadcasters and advertisers.
This launch addresses the historical difficulty of measuring direct ROI in connected TV advertising by shortening the path to purchase. By enabling one-click remote functionality, Broadpeak provides regional broadcasters and smaller streaming operators the tools to compete with massive retail media networks that currently dominate performance advertising. The move signals a shift toward shoppable TV becoming a standard inventory requirement rather than a niche experimental format. Watch for initial conversion data from the IBC2026 demonstrations to see if the single-click remote interaction significantly lowers the friction typically associated with QR-code-based TV commerce.
Broadpeak's Click2Cart enters a rapidly expanding shoppable TV market where multiple vendors are racing to close the conversion gap between ad exposure and purchase. In May 2025, Innovid launched its Shoppable TV product in partnership with Amazon Ads, enabling viewers to add items to Amazon carts during CTV ad breaks, a move that positioned the independent ad-serving platform as a direct competitor to retail media networks. That same month, Samsung Ads announced expanded shoppable ad capabilities across its free ad-supported streaming TV channels, signaling that device manufacturers are embedding commerce layers directly into their own ad stacks rather than relying on third-party middleware. These moves underscore why Broadpeak is targeting regional broadcasters and smaller operators who lack the scale to build proprietary commerce integrations.
The business case for shoppable CTV is gaining traction among advertisers and measurement firms. Omdia, which is referenced in Broadpeak's own announcement, projected in its 2025 CTV advertising forecast that interactive ad formats would account for a growing share of programmatic CTV spend, driven by demand for attributable outcomes. On the regulatory side, the IAB Tech Lab published updated measurement guidelines for interactive video ads in early 2025, establishing standards for how conversions triggered by remote-control interactions should be counted and reported. These standards matter for Click2Cart because advertisers will require third-party verification that a one-click add-to-cart event represents genuine purchase intent rather than accidental button presses.
From a technical standpoint, Broadpeak's broader interactive ad suite provides context for how Click2Cart fits into the company's product architecture. The firm previously launched Spot2Spot for addressable ad insertion and BannersIn2 for overlay graphics in live streams, both of which share the same server-side ad insertion infrastructure that Click2Cart builds upon. Competing approaches to TV commerce have tested QR code overlays and companion-app workflows, but a 2025 study by VideoNuze found that QR code scan rates on CTV averaged below 1.5 percent, highlighting the friction that remote-native interactions aim to eliminate. Broadpeak's bet is that reducing the interaction to a single button press on a standard remote will produce conversion rates meaningfully above that baseline, a hypothesis the company plans to demonstrate at IBC2026.
