Blustream has announced the launch of its IP300 AVoIP platform and ACM1000 control module, designed for 4K 18Gbps distribution over 1Gb networks. The company also previewed its upcoming PROSync platform, which aims to support 8K video and 4K at 120Hz, and introduced a new network management category called BLUNet.
The launch of the IP300 and the preview of PROSync signal a shift toward high-bandwidth 8K and 120Hz video distribution without requiring 10Gb network upgrades. By maintaining compatibility with standard 1Gb infrastructure, Blustream reduces the hardware overhead for complex residential and commercial installations. This move places pressure on competitors to offer similar low-latency performance while integrating deeper network management through categories like BLUNet. As AV and data distribution converge on common platforms, the ability to manage these systems via a single control module becomes a critical differentiator for integrators. Watch for the first live performance benchmarks of the PROSync 8K distribution during the upcoming CEDIA Expo 2026.
The AVoIP market is intensifying as multiple vendors race to deliver high-bandwidth video distribution over increasingly standard network infrastructure. Blustream's IP300 launch enters a competitive field where established players have already staked claims on both 1Gb and 10Gb segments. SDVoE Alliance certified its 10G AVoIP platform for commercial deployments across more than 40 member companies by mid-2026, positioning the standard as a premium alternative for enterprise and large-venue installations that require uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 video. Meanwhile, the 1Gb segment where Blustream's IP300 operates remains the volume market for residential and mid-size commercial projects, making efficiency gains on existing infrastructure a key selling point for integrators.
Blustream's parent company and distribution strategy place it in direct competition with several established AV-over-IP brands that have expanded their product lines in 2025 and 2026. Kramer Electronics launched its updated AVoIP portfolio at InfoComm 2026, adding support for 8K60 distribution and integrated Dante audio networking, broadening the competitive landscape beyond pure video distribution into unified AV-over-IP ecosystems. The convergence of audio and video networking on single platforms mirrors Blustream's BLUNet management category, which aims to unify device discovery and control across its product line. For integrators evaluating AVoIP solutions ahead of CEDIA Expo 2026, the ability to manage mixed-vendor environments and future-proof installations for 8K content remains a primary decision factor.
On the technical side, independent testing of AVoIP latency and bandwidth efficiency has become a differentiator as vendors claim sub-frame performance. AVPro Global Holdings published benchmark data in early 2026 showing its Just Add Power platform achieving sub-1ms latency for 4K60 4:4:4 signals over 1Gb managed networks, setting a performance bar that Blustream's IP300 must match or exceed to remain competitive in latency-sensitive applications such as gaming and live event production. The PROSync platform's claimed support for 8K and 4K at 120Hz would represent a significant step forward if delivered over 1Gb infrastructure, though no independent verification of those specifications has been published ahead of .
