VeriSilicon has announced that its VC9800D Video Processing Unit (VPU) IP now supports AV2 decoding, expanding its video codec portfolio for next-generation video and streaming applications. This development enables flexible deployment of the AOMedia AV2 specification across intelligent consumer and multimedia devices, with VeriSilicon already supplying the VC9800D with AV2 to global customers.
